Embrace the ANARCHY

Everyone, meet my partner in crime: the Urban Decay Anarchy Face Case.

BTW: TODAY IS MY BLOG’S ANNIVERSARY. OMFG. ❤ DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY FUN IDEAS FOR A POST I SHOULD DO? LEAVE SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS I AM EXPLODING WITH HAPPINESS ASDFGHJKL;

Anywayyys, back on topic. Sorry for my happiness explosion, and sorry, again, for being gone for so long. But I’m back, babayyy.

This palette is flippin’ gorgeous, FYI. If you’re into sparkle, this comes with a ton of sparkly shades…perfect for parties, dances, clubbing, or any dramatic look. It also has an eyeliner, full-sized lip pencil, two blushes and a highlight, which is a great idea for travel! Holla @ all my girls-on-the-go out there!

IMG_8207

One thing I always praise Urban Decay on is their beautiful packaging. This palette is not only elegant, but it’s sturdy and compact.

It was love at first sight!

IMG_8209

It has two layers, one for eye shadows, and the other for the cheeks. All of the colors are buttery, blend seamlessly, and have amazing pigmentation. It’s Urban Decay, people! They kinda rock. :}

IMG_8211

Just a warning: Use the cheek products sparingly! The color comes off so easily (if I dropped the case when it was open, I’m pretty sure the blushes would shatter), so you only need a small amount for glowing cheeks. If you don’t tap off excess on your brush, you’ll look like a total clown. Been there, done that.IMG_8216

So here’s everything swatched. All the colors it came with are as follows.

EYESHADOWS:

(left to right)

Revolt– silver shimmer

Provocateur– warm mauve  shimmer

Vaporize– shimmery gunmetal

Fray– peach/beige matte

Redemption– deep shimmery navy

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion– matte black

Super-Saturated High Gloss Lipcolor in Scandal–berry pink with glossy finish

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Over all, this palette is amazing. Great value, great products. I’d be willing to do a filmed tutorial featuring this if you guys want me to. It’d be SO. MUCH. FUN.

Alas, my homework is calling me. I haven’t touched it all weekend. >:D

Love you guys, I’ll be back ASAP.

Whole Lotta Candy

December 1st. LET THE HOLIDAYS BEGIN!!

I hope you all haven’t forgotten me…I know I took a lengthly break. But hey. At least I’m one trimester done with being a freshman! ;D

You guys know how this goes: as soon as Christmas starts rolling around, brands come out with lots of value sets or little stocking-stuffer type products. I was at the Clinique counter the other day, and this cute threesome caught my eye. It was SO adorable!

IMG_7529

If you guys have stuck around on my  blog for even a little bit, you’ll know I’m a girl who is totally lip product obsessed! A set with three mini chubby sticks (usually 17 bucks each), all for $25? I am sold.

This set comes with “Pudgy Peony”, “Voluptuous Violet”, and “Two Ton Tomato”.

Or, the fuchsia one, the purple one, and the red one.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I hate the name “Two Ton Tomato.”

IMG_7534

“What are you wearing on your lips?” “Oh, it’s ‘Two Ton Tomato’.”

Blechhh.

Anywayyyys. The colors have different payoffs, so here’s the jist of it:

Pudgy Peony: A great fuchsia/berry shade. Most pigmented of the three.

Voluptuous Violet: Sheer purple gloss.

Two Ton Tomato: Pretty red tint that you can build up to higher intensity.

 IMG_7536

The colors don’t last particularly long, either, so I find you have to reapply them. I don’t really mind. The formula is extremely moisturizing, perfect for the cold winter air.

I hope you guys had a lovely  Thanksgiving holiday. Love you guys!

DUECES.

6 FALL LIPSTICK FAVES

Hello m’ dears!

We all know one of the biggest fall beauty trends is beautiful new lipstick colors. I’m a lipstick girl, myself, and so I thought I should show you some of MY favorite fall lipstick colors that I rock on the daily, from nudes to deep, dramatic colors! :}

Let’s start out with my all-time favorite nude since the beginning…Be Legendary Lipstick in “Chai” by Smashbox.

IMG_6823

IMG_6824

When I first tried this lipstick, I was in total, obvious love (I wore it EVERY day for my whole 7th grade year!). The formula is so buttery and stays put for ages, even when eating. Paired with a warm smokey eye or some liner, this color is perfection! I’ve talked about this lippie a few times before, so if you’re looking for a full review, click here!

Next I chose a Clinique Buttershine Lipstick in “Cranberry Cream”!

IMG_6829

IMG_6831

Rich. Gorgeous. Creamy. This is one of my FAVORITE reds!! It’s so pigmented, and looks great on almost everyone, especially all brown-eyed girls out there. No gross taste. No flaky lips. No gloss needed!

Another beautiful red is “Desire” by Honeybee Gardens, a brand I discovered at Market of Choice.

IMG_6832

IMG_6833

I wore this shade to homecoming! It’s kind of an warm, toasted auburn, and looks beautiful with brown, black, and purple clothing. The formula is smooth, but you can still feel the beeswax in it when you put it on. It’s thicker, with awesome color payoff, so one swipe is all you need to last all night.

Another deep shade is MAC’s “Rebel”.

IMG_6834

IMG_6836

This color is soo cool. One layer provides a stain. Thickened up to a certain intensity, it can look as bold and dark as you want! This was one of my first MAC purchases, and it’s one of my favorites out of my lipstick collection. I strongly suggest wearing a lip balm underneath; the satin finish isn’t the most hydrating. One thing I love about this lipstick is as it wears off, it leaves a pretty stain!

ANOTHER MAC lippie is a frost in “New York Apple”.

IMG_6839

IMG_6844

The color of autumn leaves…positively stunning! Who could resist a berry with gold shimmer in the fall? On the lips, it doesn’t look like unflattering chrome. The shimmer looks good in all the right places!

Last, BUT NOT LEAST, is Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick in “Violet Electra”. What a mouthful.

IMG_6859

IMG_6860

This is a great party lipstick. The shimmer, color, and texture combined are amazing. I know it’s not JUST a fall lipstick, but I can see some people wearing this with their Halloween costume or to any holiday party. On darker skin tones, the color will contrast beautifully and really pop. If you’re looking for a full review, check this out!

Anyway, that’s all, folks! ;D

I’ll be back soon.

Stila Countless Color Pigments

Happy fall, everyone!

Omg. I can’t believe I’ve been gone for two weeks. YIKES!!!  I feel so awful, but let’s face it, high school has been kicking my butt.

My birthday was on the tenth, and I got some beautiful gifts.

I introduce to you, STILA COUNTLESS COLOR PIGMENTS! Gather ’round, gather ’round!

Image

Obviously, they’re gorgeous. They come with a lot of product in the pan, swirled around together to create a really pretty effect. To me, they look like little planets. Cuuuuute.

Stila is a high-end brand I haven’t experimented with very much, and I was excited to try these!

I got two colors, “Tie Dye” (the blue-purple-pink one) and “Lyric” (the orange-peach-pink one). For pigmentation, they both are pretty equal. The powder comes off silky and creamy, blending seamlessly and staying put for a long time. There’s no glitter or any shimmer, just a lightly satiny finish.

Here’s an up-close look at Tie Dye.

IMG_6727

These colors are FREAKING BEAUTIFUL.

Swirled together, it’s like a peacock-color. (I don’t really know how else to describe it!) What I like about these pigments is that you can wear the colors separate, or blend them together. Unfortunately, I can’t really wear this to school. It’s a bit much for every day…I’ll save it for homecoming! ;}

Next is Lyric.

 IMG_6726

I’ve used this one a lot these past couple weeks. Some of you might be like “Whuuut. PINK on the eyes? Gurrrl that’s cray cray.”

But this looks really nice, I swear! It’s not harsh at all, it just gives your eyes a sweet, tender blush. When I’m in a hurry, I’ll put a little on my cheeks too!

That’s all I have for today, ladies. I’ll be back with a fall look really soon, with a couple little posts in between.

Have a great afternoon! ❤

4 Fave Summer Lippies!

Hi everyone! ❤

If you have stuck with me for a while, you know how I feel about lipsticks and glosses.

I luuuuuuv dem.

Anyway, summer’s coming to a close, so why not share some fresh, summery colors that I loved this season??

LET’S GET MOVIN’.

So for starters, I’m going to show TWO drugstore lippies first, then two high-end. My top drugstore lipstick choice is Revlon Super-Lustrous Lipstick in “Coral Berry”, a sweet, candied coral color that is totally reminiscent of MAC’s “Vegas Volt”. It’s creamy and fresh, perfect for a day of lounging at the beach! Image

Next, I chose a drugstore gloss that is really easy to top on anything. I picked out NYC’s Liquid Lipshine in “Nude York City” because it complements my skin tone really nicely. It’s that perfect, beachy nude that looks great on anyone! Plus, I love the applicator; it applies the color nice and even.

Image

NOW, let’s check out two high-end lip products :3

Not gonna lie, it was a hard decision.

First, as a lipstick, I chose one from Clinique, that’s a really easy color to wear. It’s Clinique Buttershine Lipstick in “Fresh Watermelon”, a nice, deep red-pink with some sparkle. It glides on deliciously, and illuminates your pout with a light glossy look, positively beautiful! To be honest, this summer I didn’t wear a lot of lipstick, but I love this color. It gives your mouth a “I just drank fruit punch” look, very kissable.

My high-end gloss is one from MAC. Truth be told, the only high-end glosses I own are from MAC, because there’s some KILLER drugstore glosses out there!!! I picked a lustreglass in “Wonderstruck”, a warm, shimmery pink. I like it because it’s got an opaque look on the lip, so you can just put it on and go. It’s effortless, it’s long-lasting, it’s perfection. AND it smells like cupcakes!

If you guys want a post on back-to-school fashion AND makeup, let me know in the comments. :}

I’m so sad summer’s almost over!!!!! We have to make the best of it, right?

Buhbye, darlings.

MAC Lipsticks GALORE!!

Howdy-do, my precious cupcakes.

I got a suggestion from a few lovely followers to do some reviews. Specifically, on things that I got from a recent haul here.

The two lovely followers were beautiful Ashley and Olive, who were requesting lipstick and eyeshadow reviews. (Be expecting a lot of reviews in your future!) ;}

Soo, I took my three brand-spankin’-new MAC lipsticks and decided to swatch and describe them in detail.

First off, is sexy and red-hot Lady Danger.

IMG_5621

First, the color is gorgeous. It’s a lovely orange-red with a matte finish, very classic and vivid. You can get rich color in one swipe, so pigmentation is no problem. Neither is staying power…this stuff sticks. (AND stains!!!)

Now, guys, this is a matte lipstick. If you have dryer lips, this will cling to those icky bits of dead skin. So, I suggest exfoliating and putting on a lip conditioner before you use this!

The next time you’re at a MAC counter, try this baby on. You won’t regret it!

Second is flashy Girl About Town.

IMG_5631

This, in comparison to “Lady Danger”, is a thousand times more buttery. You can also build up the color, depending on if you want a sheer or opaque look.

Also, I loooove the color; it’s a medium fuchsia with blue undertones. On an olive-toned girl, it just makes my skin glow!  A cream/gloss finish isn’t half-bad either. It just looks so yummy on the lips!

LAST, but not least, angelic Creme Cup!

IMG_5625

To be honest, this doesn’t swatch too well, but it looks amazing on the lips! It’s not your average boring nude, it’s a milky, sweet pink that won’t wash you out.

I can totally understand the hype on this one. If you want a “My Lips But Better”, or MLBB shade, try this one! It’s light and buildable, perfect for everyday or to pair with a smokey eye.

Staying power could be better, but I don’t mind reapplying this one. It’s so moisturizing and creamyyy. :}

Anyway, that’s all the lippies! I hope these reviews were helpful, and I apologize for keeping it brief.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I’d be glad to get back to you!

PEACE!!!!! <333

Maybelline Eyestudio Master Duo Liquid Liner

Haiii Curly-Fries.

So, I’m not one for extreme eyeliner. SOMETIMES I’ll rock the vintage cat-eye, but my everyday look is completely devoid of any eyeliner at all!!.

I’ve been hearing some buzz about this particular liner, and I got quite curious!

db_maybelline_eyeliner

It’s got this teensy-tiny round applicator, that is THE COOLEST THING EVER.

It can create a flawless thick or thin line..and all you have to do is twist it on it’s side.IMG_5178

The formula itself is super rich and semi-glossy, and comes off easily at night! (No stained-black eyes! Yayness!)

BUT LET’S GET REAL: How good is the actual product? AMAYYYYUHZING. FAAAABULOUS. PERFECTOOO. The staying power is pretty good, packaging is sleek, and it’s easy to apply. I’ve been exploring a bunch of Maybelline products lately, and I think I am really getting into the brand.

Maybe creating a flawless cat-eye in one swipe is just $7.99 away…

But that’s for you to decide. PLUS, it takes some practice. One my first try, my hand was shaking everywhere!

I’ll catch ya on the flipside.. :3

If you have a question, you can put it in the comments! I’ll be happy to respond!

5 Refreshing Summer Must-Haves!!

Sooo…SURPRISE! It’s summer.

Say hello to sweaty armpits, frizzed-out hair, melting makeup, and red, swollen faces. Yippee!

WELL NO FEAR, beautiful citizens! Isabella is here to the rescue! (And she brought lemonade!)

Anyway, my point is summer can be a little…uncomfortable. Sweaty. Messy. Completely unglamorous at times. And I thought I should share some summer beauty must-haves.

These are things I’ve been using every day so far, and have been loooving! Enjoyyy.

First off, I picked Tom’s Long-Lasting Deodorant in “Fresh Apricot”..because, hey. Let’s be honest. For me, it’s nearly unbearable to walk around all day with B.O.

Image

Plus, the smell is soo fresh…and fruity! It lasts ALL day, just like the label says!

Next is my skin-care savior…Yes-To Tomatoes Skin Clearing Facial Mask. What a mouthful!

On the darkest, most disgusting skin days when pimples, dullness, and blotching become a huge deal, this literally transforms my skin. I’m serious, after washing it off, my skin is smooth and refreshed and glowing. I’ve used up nearly three containers of this stuff! Image

After I use the mask, I need a good toner. The one I picked out to show you is one I’ve had for a while and still haven’t used up!

It’s a cleansing water by Caudalíe. Image

This is the DEFINITION of refreshing.

I just pour some on a cotton pad and use it to gently cleanse away all the icky impurities, dirt, oil, and makeup, and it leaves this delicious tingle.

It kind of smells like melons. Maybe cucumber?

Not sure…but it smells niiiiice. And I’m a sucker for good-smelling things.

Neeexxt uppp is something you guys might find dumb…but I bought it after watching Michelle spritz it on in one of her old videos.

It’s an Evian mineral water facial spray.

It’s just cold-water-mist-stuff in a pretty can.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT, I DON’T REGRET BUYING IT. IT’S FUDGIN’ AWESOME. Image

I actually bought two of the mini-sizes at Sephora for, like, 12 bucks.

On a hot day, this stuff is my best friend. It’s a really nice mist…I loooove to spray it on my arms, legs, face, back of my neck, anywhere to get that instant cold.

And now, finally, a product that isn’t skincare or something.!

Soo recently I’ve been getting into the Essie nail polishes. There’s one I specifically like…and it’s a perfect shade for summer.

Image

It can really make tanned skin pop, and the color is delectable, trendy, and sweet.

“Mint Candy Apple”, people!!!

Who doesn’t love a minty hue to cool you down on a hot summer day?

That’s all I got, folks. I really hope you check some of these products out, anyways, because they are wonderful.

If you don’t mind, I’ll be out lounging in my hammock with an issue of Vogue. ;}

Kisses.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

Hey my Curly-Fries! ❤

So, I bought this yesterday on a total impulse.

Ever since this came into stores, I’ve watched (and read) a million reviews on this stuff! I read every qualm, claim, complaint, and opinion. And I bought a tube of this stuff anyways, being same old ignorant Isabella.

So, anyway, it’s a cute product, right? You can’t deny the packaging.

Image

The packaging is a simple tube with pink bubble lettering, but I was a total sucker for it. It looks so fresh and pretty, right?

It reads exactly: “8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfecter.

1. Blurs imperfections

2. Enhances

3. Brightens

4. Adjusts to skin-tone

5. Smooths

6. Hydrates

7. SPF 30 protects

8. 0% oils and other heavy ingredients”

Okay, first off, I will address every single one of these claims.

When I put it on, it felt super light and…kinda like a balm on my skin. Creamy and a bit tacky. Ugh. Well that’s not something I like, right off the bat.

So, the claims are pretty exaggerated, I mean, Maybelline makes it sound like the holy grail of the drugstore. It does make my skin look pretty fresh, but before I put on powder I looked QUITE dewy. And I’m not a fan of dewy.

Plus, I had to put on a few layers before it actually looked like there was anything on my skin.

I have to admit…I’m on the fence, guys! Have any of you tried this BB Cream? I’d love to hear in the comments!

TTFN. Ta-ta for now!

x

Palladio Desert Rose Blush/Bronzer

I recently bought this at Sally Beauty Supply and thought I should review it, because, hey, if you’re like me, (always looking for awesome products), then you should know about this! ❤

images

So, for starters, it has five shades, two of which are more satin, the other three are slightly shimmery.

I wear this on my cheek bones, on my nose, on my eyes, and a little on my chin and forehead. It makes me glow like a natural beauty, not look obviously fake. You can mix the colors together (like I do), or wear them separate, but I honestly prefer them together. It creates a “beach peach” color: not light and cool, just slightly warm and bronzed.

PROS:

Multitasking

Pigmented colors

Silky

Easy to blend

Good variety

Makes the face look WONDERFUL

CONS:

Sometimes you have to make touch-ups! :{

The packaging is a simple, plastic case with a clear top with NO brand name on the front (that’s all on the back), and looks very sleek.515t_YessEL._SL1000___37915.1355886395.1280.1280

Personally, I think it looks very cute and high-end, so I, Isabella, give YOU the permission to tell ANY lie with this.

“Oh, this stuff? I bought it for 21 bucks at Sephora.”

“It was limited addition.”

“Michelle Phan HERSELF gave this to me at a meet-and-greet!”

But whatever, it’ll be our little secret. ;}

Love you all!
