MAC Lipsticks GALORE!!

Howdy-do, my precious cupcakes.

I got a suggestion from a few lovely followers to do some reviews. Specifically, on things that I got from a recent haul here.

The two lovely followers were beautiful Ashley and Olive, who were requesting lipstick and eyeshadow reviews. (Be expecting a lot of reviews in your future!) ;}

Soo, I took my three brand-spankin’-new MAC lipsticks and decided to swatch and describe them in detail.

First off, is sexy and red-hot Lady Danger.

IMG_5621

First, the color is gorgeous. It’s a lovely orange-red with a matte finish, very classic and vivid. You can get rich color in one swipe, so pigmentation is no problem. Neither is staying power…this stuff sticks. (AND stains!!!)

Now, guys, this is a matte lipstick. If you have dryer lips, this will cling to those icky bits of dead skin. So, I suggest exfoliating and putting on a lip conditioner before you use this!

The next time you’re at a MAC counter, try this baby on. You won’t regret it!

Second is flashy Girl About Town.

IMG_5631

This, in comparison to “Lady Danger”, is a thousand times more buttery. You can also build up the color, depending on if you want a sheer or opaque look.

Also, I loooove the color; it’s a medium fuchsia with blue undertones. On an olive-toned girl, it just makes my skin glow!  A cream/gloss finish isn’t half-bad either. It just looks so yummy on the lips!

LAST, but not least, angelic Creme Cup!

IMG_5625

To be honest, this doesn’t swatch too well, but it looks amazing on the lips! It’s not your average boring nude, it’s a milky, sweet pink that won’t wash you out.

I can totally understand the hype on this one. If you want a “My Lips But Better”, or MLBB shade, try this one! It’s light and buildable, perfect for everyday or to pair with a smokey eye.

Staying power could be better, but I don’t mind reapplying this one. It’s so moisturizing and creamyyy. :}

Anyway, that’s all the lippies! I hope these reviews were helpful, and I apologize for keeping it brief.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I’d be glad to get back to you!

PEACE!!!!! <333

JUST A GIRL ON A MISSION.

Aloha my loves.

Here I am, my hair in my signature ballerina bun with a fresh coat of lipstick, getting ready for a mission.

But then again, not really a mission. A luxurious splurge, more like.

Be prepared for a haul….a big one. I’m dying to treat myself, you know the feeling! And for the rest of the day, I’ll be exploring the MAC, Chanel, and Bare Minerals counters, finding what tickles my fancy. Image

What are you guys doing today?

KK I have to leave, my dad’s calling!!

Wal-Mart Haul!

Hey my little curly-fries!

I went to Wal-Mart literally just a half an hour ago, and picked up some stellar products that I wanted to share with you!. :}

It was late, and I was tired, and my mom wanted to leave, so I snatched some products that looked interesting and booked it to the nearest check-out.

So let’s dive in!

First off is two Essie nail lacquers in “Sugar Daddy” and “Mint Candy Apple”. Image

essie-mint-candy-apple__52874.1343176765.1280.1280

As you can see, the colors are very pastel and candy-like, like the colors on an Easter-egg! They go on really smoothly; Mint Candy Apple dries to a cream finish and Sugar Daddy is a sheer gloss.

These are my first two Essie nail polishes, and I’m SO happy with them! Sugar Daddy is totally my new staple nail-color because it makes your nails look really healthy. Mint Candy Apple is a very fresh spring-summer color, very minty, and very bright. If you’re tan, it will pop against your skin!

Next is a Maybelline Eyestudio Duo in “Persuasive Plum”…something I wasn’t too sure about. Image

Guys, I’m a brown-eyed girl, and purples are my thang, mmkay?! (Tho I haven’t found the perfect shade yet.)

The duo comes with a dark eggplant-purple shade and a lighter shade with spots of champagne, mauve, light brown, dark brown, and lilac. The dark purple was so pigmented and velvety, but the lighter color HARDLY showed. Poo.

AND LAST is a cream foundation, my first, I might add! It’s the Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse, a very hit-and-miss product, in the color “Classic Ivory”.

Image

It’s really emollient, but comes in a sort of funny packaging. If you guys want a review, leave that suggestion in the comments! I’d be more than happy to do one!

Anyway, that’s all for tonight!

As Tigger says: “TTFN! Ta ta for now!”

Small Beauty Haul

WELCOME, welcome, one and all, to Isabella’s short beauty haul! I promise to keep it short and sweet!

BUT FIRST, I have quite a tale to share with you.

When I went out and found these things, I was quite…um…apprehensive. I bought them at a factory outlet mall, in a place called “Cosmetics Company Store”.

It was a very shady place, the testers were all MUTILATED, (the cream shadows were either dried out or completely melted, the lipsticks had chunks taken out of them, ect.), plus, all the cosmetics were really dirty. Everything was smeared with mascara, including some of their makeup pouches on display, and some brands (example: MAC) had products from old lines that were discontinued YEARS ago.

Anyway, I walked away with two items I’m very happy with. Thankfully.

One was from Bobbi Brown (my first product from her line!), and the next was from Smashbox.

The thing I got from Bobbi Brown was a “pot rouge for the lips and cheeks”, in the color “Raspberry”, a wonderful, rich, berry color. It’s great.

Image

As you can see, it comes in a cute compact that’s small enough to fit in your jeans pocket. The color that comes off can be quite rich, or sheer, depending on how you layer it. I prefer the “stained” look. Thanks to the moisturizing formula, it makes you lips look really full, healthy, and soft. IMG_2559

(Sorry for my pasty, winter skin! Hopefully this spring break I can get tan!)

The next thing I picked up was a Smashbox “eyelights” palette in “Flash”.

It has classic Smashbox packaging: Very sleek, matte, and black, with the signature “Smashbox” across the front. The colors are beautiful, and they include a light, golden peach, a mauve pink, and a mossy green. They come off rich, metallic, AND can be used wet or dry! HOLLA!

Anyway..I’m really happy to share my haul with you (plus reviews!) I hope they were helpful!

Mwah. Tootles!

Drugstore Haul

Hey everybody!

I recently went to my local drugstore to do a bit of shopping. Hehe. For cosmetics, yo.

And so here is what I bought! If you want a full review of a certain product, you can put that down in the comments and I’ll definitely get back to you.

So let’s gooooo!

1. Milani Baked Blush in “Dolce Pink”

Image

Oh my god. This totally screams Valentine’s Day, doesn’t it?

It’s the most beautiful light, rosy flush you could ask for. It’s a beautiful shade, that makes you look bashful and TOTALLY, ADORABLY IRRESISTIBLE. I put it on this morning at 4 AM before dance practice, and even after the Valentine’s Day Formal at school, it stayed put. It’s has a slight shimmer, no glitter, and makes you look like a total cutie-pie.

2. L’Oreal Infallible Gel Laquer Liner in “Blackest Black”

Image

Guys, I have super bad luck with liners. All of the ones I’ve bought in my life weren’t that black, and smeared, smudged, and dripped. Terrible. Icky.

THIS ONE is creamy, pigmented, and comes with a pretty nice brush. The bristles are small and precise, and get a good amount of product on them to make straight, even lines.

3. Wet ‘N’ Wild Bronzer in “Reserve Your Cabana” Image

ONE THING: This does not, any under circumstances, is considered a “bronzer”. It’s a light, shimmery, luminous cream-colored powder in a large disc compact, that will not make the palest complexion bronze.

But  DAAAMN it does make a good highlight and brightener. I put it on my collarbone, my brow bone, my shoulders, my cheekbones, and anywhere else I need a subtle glow. You get a ton of product for the money!

4. Ecotools 5-Piece Brush SetImage

These brushes are amazing. Period. They’re soft, eco-friendly, travel-friendly, and really great for applying makeup. Plus, their pretty cheap considering the quality.

I ESPECIALLY love the mineral powder brush and the kabuki. They give such a natural finish.

5. Bonne Bell (Lip Smackers) Sponge-On Sparkler in “Vanilla Frosting” Image

I wonder if you’re thinking “LOL Gurrrrrl you still in kindergarden? We don’t use dat no mo’ cuz we gotz Dior and Bobbi Brown an’ shit.”

I knoooow but it’s almost Valentine’s day! And everyone loves a yummy clear lip gloss that tastes like it smells. It makes my pout taste like a cupcake! ;}

6. Wet ‘N’ Wild Color Icon Blusher in “Mellow Wine” Image

This feels like silk, blends like butter, and applies like a dream. The color is perfect, but hun, use a light hand, mmkay?

This is like..um, syrup and pancakes. If you use too much SYRUP, your pancake is overloaded and ruined. Unless you like your flappity-jackies saturated. Then just ignore all of what I just said.

PLUS, it’s cheap. And better than some high-end blushes! Pick up a color, I dare ya.

7. Femme Couture Lip Luster in “Smooth Coral”

Image

This is my dupe for the MAC Lipglasses. It smells like vanilla cookies, stays on forever, and has phenomenal color and shine! I’ve NEVER heard ANYONE talk about these before, guys.

I bought this one at Sally Beauty Supply, and I love it. A looooot.

Anyway…this was a pretty short haul but whatevs. I missed you guys.

MAC Mini-Haul

Oh my goshness, guys!

I just went to MAC today and purchased a bunch of goodies. Well, not really a bunch. Like, four.

But anyway.

I’m just really excited to show you, because these are all things I’m really happy I purchased.

I ADORE THEM. And I might as well show ya. :}

#1: Face and Body in “C2”.

 Image

I found it to make my skin very radiant, glowing, and flawless. I’m the shade C2, which matched my skin to a T, and stayed on a long time, even without any powder! I have combo skin, and my skin didn’t even get oily once!

#2: Bronzing Powder in “Refined Golden.” Image

Ooooooohhhh daaaaammmn. This COLOR. Brushed on my cheekbones, nose bridge, and sides of my forehead, it made me look perfectly flushed, sun-kissed, and healthy. Topping my Face and Body, I looked like I had just came out of a spa, or a relaxing vacation on the beach. It totally gave my face dimension, and had subtle, golden shimmer.

#3: Dazzleglass in “Funtabulous”! Image

This is certainly “Fun” and “Fabulous.” FUNTABULOUS. How cute is that?

It has a blue-violet shimmer mixed in a pretty, fuchsia gloss, that is decently thick and tacky. It stays on the lips, makes your teeth look really white, and is overall amazing! It just makes me feel so glamorous, so sparkly. If you love your sparkles, the dazzleglasses are the way to go. They last forever!

#4: Plushglass in “Full For You”. Image

This gloss’s texture is way different than the dazzleglass. It’s more creamy, more smooth, and not as thick and sticky.

The color is beautiful and gives a mirror-like shine, with a rosy, juicy flush. It plumps really well, and smells like rainbows and candy and happiness!! I love it. It’s delicious and sweet, and a staple color that I think everyone should have.

……Yeah I know that was a short haul. But whatevs…these are great MAC products!
