6 FALL LIPSTICK FAVES

Hello m’ dears!

We all know one of the biggest fall beauty trends is beautiful new lipstick colors. I’m a lipstick girl, myself, and so I thought I should show you some of MY favorite fall lipstick colors that I rock on the daily, from nudes to deep, dramatic colors! :}

Let’s start out with my all-time favorite nude since the beginning…Be Legendary Lipstick in “Chai” by Smashbox.

When I first tried this lipstick, I was in total, obvious love (I wore it EVERY day for my whole 7th grade year!). The formula is so buttery and stays put for ages, even when eating. Paired with a warm smokey eye or some liner, this color is perfection! I’ve talked about this lippie a few times before, so if you’re looking for a full review, click here!

Next I chose a Clinique Buttershine Lipstick in “Cranberry Cream”!

Rich. Gorgeous. Creamy. This is one of my FAVORITE reds!! It’s so pigmented, and looks great on almost everyone, especially all brown-eyed girls out there. No gross taste. No flaky lips. No gloss needed!

Another beautiful red is “Desire” by Honeybee Gardens, a brand I discovered at Market of Choice.

I wore this shade to homecoming! It’s kind of an warm, toasted auburn, and looks beautiful with brown, black, and purple clothing. The formula is smooth, but you can still feel the beeswax in it when you put it on. It’s thicker, with awesome color payoff, so one swipe is all you need to last all night.

Another deep shade is MAC’s “Rebel”.

This color is soo cool. One layer provides a stain. Thickened up to a certain intensity, it can look as bold and dark as you want! This was one of my first MAC purchases, and it’s one of my favorites out of my lipstick collection. I strongly suggest wearing a lip balm underneath; the satin finish isn’t the most hydrating. One thing I love about this lipstick is as it wears off, it leaves a pretty stain!

ANOTHER MAC lippie is a frost in “New York Apple”.

The color of autumn leaves…positively stunning! Who could resist a berry with gold shimmer in the fall? On the lips, it doesn’t look like unflattering chrome. The shimmer looks good in all the right places!

Last, BUT NOT LEAST, is Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick in “Violet Electra”. What a mouthful.

This is a great party lipstick. The shimmer, color, and texture combined are amazing. I know it’s not JUST a fall lipstick, but I can see some people wearing this with their Halloween costume or to any holiday party. On darker skin tones, the color will contrast beautifully and really pop. If you’re looking for a full review, check this out!

Anyway, that’s all, folks! ;D

I’ll be back soon.

Stila Countless Color Pigments

Happy fall, everyone!

Omg. I can’t believe I’ve been gone for two weeks. YIKES!!!  I feel so awful, but let’s face it, high school has been kicking my butt.

My birthday was on the tenth, and I got some beautiful gifts.

I introduce to you, STILA COUNTLESS COLOR PIGMENTS! Gather ’round, gather ’round!

Image

Obviously, they’re gorgeous. They come with a lot of product in the pan, swirled around together to create a really pretty effect. To me, they look like little planets. Cuuuuute.

Stila is a high-end brand I haven’t experimented with very much, and I was excited to try these!

I got two colors, “Tie Dye” (the blue-purple-pink one) and “Lyric” (the orange-peach-pink one). For pigmentation, they both are pretty equal. The powder comes off silky and creamy, blending seamlessly and staying put for a long time. There’s no glitter or any shimmer, just a lightly satiny finish.

Here’s an up-close look at Tie Dye.

These colors are FREAKING BEAUTIFUL.

Swirled together, it’s like a peacock-color. (I don’t really know how else to describe it!) What I like about these pigments is that you can wear the colors separate, or blend them together. Unfortunately, I can’t really wear this to school. It’s a bit much for every day…I’ll save it for homecoming! ;}

Next is Lyric.

I’ve used this one a lot these past couple weeks. Some of you might be like “Whuuut. PINK on the eyes? Gurrrl that’s cray cray.”

But this looks really nice, I swear! It’s not harsh at all, it just gives your eyes a sweet, tender blush. When I’m in a hurry, I’ll put a little on my cheeks too!

That’s all I have for today, ladies. I’ll be back with a fall look really soon, with a couple little posts in between.

Have a great afternoon! ❤

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Sticks

I bought these a couple days ago, and was freaking out over them! I was bowing down to their existence. I was loving them obsessively.

But after a day or two of trying them out, I’m not sure what I think of these.

ImageThis is a swatch of the two colors I purchased “Tempting Turquoise” and “Paranoid Purple”. They were both a little glittery, not shimmery, but not SO glittery it was screaming into people’s faces.

Tempting Turquoise was WAHBAAAAAM..bright. If you guys have seen that one thick, neon stripe across model’s eyelids on the catwalks a lot, you can totally recapture the look with this color. It’s SOO bright and pigmented, but use it sparingly!

Paranoid Purple was okay. I liked it a little. I mean, it’s OKAY. The purple color is beautiful, but you can’t blend it as easily as Tempting Turquoise, and it seems to smear and smudge more.

A WORD ABOUT BOTH OF THESE:

These are super creamy and pigmented, but they last much longer with a primer or base underneath, OR with a shadow on top. You may also have trouble smudging out the color with your finger after you apply it, because it sets fast and  the color sheers out once you blend.

And still, I’ll probably go back for more. For 5 or 6 bucks a pencil, that’s pretty decent considering the prices of other cream shadows.

If you check them out, let me know how they work out for you!

MAC Mini-Haul

Aloha my beautifuls!

I recently went to my Macy’s to purchase a couple MAC lipsticks I’d had my eye on for a while. (By a couple, I really mean four.)

I got Viva Glam V, Rebel, MAC Red, and Up The Amp, four beautiful, classic MAC staples. This is going to be what I like to call it, a “bite-sized mini-hall”. It’s going to be short, sweet, and simple; BITE-SIZED. Enjoy!

Up The Amp:

Such a gorgeous lavender-violet, that can look really soft or really powerful and peppy. It’s a refreshing, unique, ladylike color, that can sometimes look more lilac than violet on the lips.

It sort of reminds me of candy, unicorns, cupcakes, flowers or pop-stars, something bright and slightly magical, glamorous and fun!

Viva Glam V:

This is a buttery, delicious nude that reminds me of something sweet. It makes your lips look plump and healthy, and has enough shimmer to where it isn’t noticeable or unflatteringly frosty.

MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick See the very fine gold glitter? It’s not your average, boring nude, it’s the perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better), and has a nice sheen, giving your pout dimension!

Rebel:

OHHHHHH MY GOSHNESSS! Can anyone say hello gorgeous?? This is THE PERFECT color for me. It’s an easy to layer, creamy, flattering color that can look rebellious, edgy, and elegant all at once…..it’s perfect! When I apply it, it instantly makes me feel very “va-va-voom”, “bow-chicka-wow-wow”,  and just plain confident! A lipstick like THAT deserves a gold star.

IMG_1275 Depending on your skin tone, it will bring different things out. On my skin, it brought out my golden undertones, and my warm brown eyes. On cooler-toned girls, it would totally make a ethereal, porcelain complexion stand out, and this would also look stunning on a darker complexion.

MAC Red:

Finally found the perfect, classic red! This is definitely a new must-have for me. It’s a bright, classic red that some describe as “cool” or “bluish”, but it actually looks really beautiful on my warm-nuetral complexion! It is such a classic, iconic color with a stunning formula, that will make you feel just like the glam, Hollywood beauty, Marilyn Monroe.

 images

Anyway, it looks cherry-red in the tube, but you can tone down the color to make it more of a stain if you’d like. This is WAAAY brighter than Russian Red F.I.Y, and I know I will love it forever!

Anyway my darlings, I hope you liked this short-and-sweet “mini-haul”. These are all gorgeous colors that I really reccommend, and if you try them, let me know how you liked them! Anyway, it’s snacky-snack time for me, and I’ll be back soon. Ciao!
