Embrace the ANARCHY

Everyone, meet my partner in crime: the Urban Decay Anarchy Face Case.

BTW: TODAY IS MY BLOG’S ANNIVERSARY. OMFG. ❤ DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY FUN IDEAS FOR A POST I SHOULD DO? LEAVE SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS I AM EXPLODING WITH HAPPINESS ASDFGHJKL;

Anywayyys, back on topic. Sorry for my happiness explosion, and sorry, again, for being gone for so long. But I’m back, babayyy.

This palette is flippin’ gorgeous, FYI. If you’re into sparkle, this comes with a ton of sparkly shades…perfect for parties, dances, clubbing, or any dramatic look. It also has an eyeliner, full-sized lip pencil, two blushes and a highlight, which is a great idea for travel! Holla @ all my girls-on-the-go out there!

IMG_8207

One thing I always praise Urban Decay on is their beautiful packaging. This palette is not only elegant, but it’s sturdy and compact.

It was love at first sight!

IMG_8209

It has two layers, one for eye shadows, and the other for the cheeks. All of the colors are buttery, blend seamlessly, and have amazing pigmentation. It’s Urban Decay, people! They kinda rock. :}

IMG_8211

Just a warning: Use the cheek products sparingly! The color comes off so easily (if I dropped the case when it was open, I’m pretty sure the blushes would shatter), so you only need a small amount for glowing cheeks. If you don’t tap off excess on your brush, you’ll look like a total clown. Been there, done that.IMG_8216

So here’s everything swatched. All the colors it came with are as follows.

EYESHADOWS:

(left to right)

Revolt– silver shimmer

Provocateur– warm mauve  shimmer

Vaporize– shimmery gunmetal

Fray– peach/beige matte

Redemption– deep shimmery navy

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion– matte black

Super-Saturated High Gloss Lipcolor in Scandal–berry pink with glossy finish

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Over all, this palette is amazing. Great value, great products. I’d be willing to do a filmed tutorial featuring this if you guys want me to. It’d be SO. MUCH. FUN.

Alas, my homework is calling me. I haven’t touched it all weekend. >:D

Love you guys, I’ll be back ASAP.

How-To: “Hot Girl” Disguise

WARNING: This look isn’t too appropriate for school, work, first dates, or any casual event. Wear with caution!

Haha ‘ello loves!

If any of you have heard of Jenna Marbles (the Youtuber), you will know I borrowed the title “Hot Girl Disguise” from her! This is my own spin-off of her comical look, tweaked to my own level of wearability with some personality thrown in.

Ever wanted to be someone else for ONE NIGHT? Well, this look does just that. You’ll feel glamorous, a little outrageous, and over-all: FIERCE.

I mean, hey. I brought out the falsies, eyeliner, and favorite lipstick, so things should get pretty cray-cray.

Here’s what you need for your one-night identity:

IMG_2926

  • A favorite full-coverage foundation (time to bring out your expensive potions and lotions!)
  • Eye primer
  • Black or dark-colored eyeliner with NO glossy finish
  • Hazy eyeshadows
  • Mascara
  • One succulent lip shade of your choice (I adore deep berries, wines, bubblegum pinks, any fun color that suits you!)
  • False lashes (Optional)
  • Lipgloss (Optional)
  • Fragrance (Optional)
  • A pair of sexy heels (SORT OF optional)

So the first part is easy: Just dab on your coverage. You’re basically creating a blemish-free, dark-circle-free, crease-and-crinkle-free look. Erase away all your imperfections!

When you’re done with that, you can move on to the eyes. Choosing dark, soft colors, start to enhance your eyes around the crease, slowly working down to the lid. You can pick any colors, from dark purples, to browns, to forest greens, to grays. One rule: NO solid black eyes. You want to look pretty, not panda.

If you’re into the liner, it’s better to make it softer and smudged for this look, not pristine and sharp. The eyes should be soft, not like every bit was slaved over. Even though I kept mine simple (with just three shades), GIRL, if you wanna, you can pull out the glitter, rhinestones, and drag-queen falsies for all I care. It’s YOUR Hot Girl Disguise, dahhling.

AND NOW, the lips. With lips, it doesn’t have to be complicated. I chose a deep, glossy berry color for this look, but if Barbie-pink is more your style, go for it!

Now, squeeze into your party dress, dab on your fragrance, and slip on your sexy six-inches.

You’re fabulous.

As you can see, the eyes are lightly hazy, which makes them look really rich brown!

FOTD

Well technically, this is a “face of yesterday.”<3  Haha

I wore this today, but it’s nearly midnight so I guess it’s “yesterday”. If that makes any sense.Image

This look is very no-fuss. I went to the zoo, so I didn’t exactly “pull out the big guns”. I just popped on some coverage, a dab of eyeshadow, and a topping of gloss. Simple, easy-peasy.

Image

I apologize…I can make extremely strange faces. Hopefully this squinty-eyed, puckered-lipped, peace-signed one above didn’t scar you for life.

My coverage wasn’t great..I used Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer in #10 dotted under my eyes and on a few problem areas. It has a powder finish, so no powder was needed!

Image

As you can see, I have a light lilac eye and a shimmery, cherry-pink lip. When you see the lips up close, they really are super GLITTERY.

I was going out with the family, so I didn’t want to put on the cat-eye liner, falsies, and dramatic lipstick. It wasn’t like I was going to be walking the red carpet…more like modeling for a spring Vogue photo shoot, or a first date, or school. I wanted to look fresh but NOT overdone.

Image

So my eyes were kind of a mix of palettes. I was short on time, so I just kinda winged it.

I used an Estee Lauder Double-Wear ShadowCreme in “Gold Dust” all over my lids and up to my brow bone to provide a warm base. Then I piled on Urban Decay’s “Sin”, “Fishnet”, and “Stray Dog”.

Image

On my lips I just used a lip balm as a base, but you could use anything from Chapstick to MAC’s fancy shmancy lip conditioner. Then, I used MAC Lustreglass in “Wonderstruck”. It’s soooo glittery and wonderful!

And just for fun, I’m going to include what I put in my travel bag.

ISABELLA’S TRAVEL BAG

Soooooo we were at the zoo for a pretty long time. Afterwards we ate, then stopped at Dutch Bros, then Walmart, and by the time we got home I was soooo tired.

When I’m at the zoo/fair/airport/mall/ect., I HATE lugging around a huge bag unless there’s somewhere to set it. I planned ahead this time though, and only had a small wristlet.

Image

It was just big enough to hold everything I needed. Which was:

Oil blotting tissues

Lip gloss for touch-ups

Hair ties

Small dental floss

Cell phone

To me, that’s all you need on the go. Sure, a little pressed powder wouldn’t hurt, but hey, I was at the ZOO. It would seem stupid to run off somewhere looking for a bathroom to touch-up your powder when your looking at elephants and other beautiful creatures!!

Lip gloss isn’t as much of a hassle to reapply in public.

If you guys have any questions or anything of that sort, leave it in the comments. I honestly really enjoy hearing your guys’s opinions and feedback. Did you like my look?

‘Night!

How-To: Smoky Eye

I don’t know anything sexier than a well-done smoky eye. Who can’t rock this look? It’s totally universal..just pick the right colors and your good to go.

Plus, it’s really carefree, smudgy, edgy, messy, ect. NOT nit picky. Have fun with it!

So here’s what you’ll need to achieve that seductive stare:

IMG_2343

  • An eyeshadow primer
  • Your favorite mascara
  • Eyeshadow colors of your preference (you need a lid color, a crease color, a dark, smoky color, and a highlight)
  • Optional: Eyeliner

First things first. Prime, prime, prime! Primer is one of the most important steps, so don’t skip it. QUICK TIP: Less is more. You don’t want a goopy, sticky mess on your lid from using too much product.

Now, the actual fun part. The eyeshadow! Take your lid color first and pat it on your lid. Easy-peasy, right? Now, go in with the crease color, shading in the crease of your eye. This should subtly make your eyes a little more dramatic. Then, taking your darkest color, and layer it over the crease color, blending it out to create a smoky gradience. You can layer more color until you get the feel you want, but don’t go totally Racoon-esque. Taking your highlight, dust it on your brow bone and in the corner of your eyes.

Next, put on your mascara. If you really want to, you can put a little eyeliner on your top lid and waterline, but it’s totally optional!

Aaand you’re done, hun. And you look SMOKIN’. ;}

IMG_2369 PRODUCTS USED:

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer in “Original”
  • Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow in “Velvet Crush” with UD Eyeshadow in “Sin”
  • Whiplash Ultimate Mascara
  • Maybelline Eyestudio Eyeliner in “Blackest Black”

Anyway, smoky eyes are pretty chill. Mine’s very hazy and casual, but I love it. ❤

With smoky eyes, I strongly suggest you play around with fun colors. Because it’s a more, well, “smoky” look, it gives you a lot more flexibility to use bright shades on your lids to add an extra pop.

Thanks so much guys!!!. Talk to you soon.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner

Oohhh the UD liners. So promising.

The way the ads make them sound is so creamy, so luxurious, a color that won’t budge.

Truthfully, they’re not all they’ve cracked out to be, at least for me, which is a bummer!!

Image

I’ve never sugar-coated things, and this eyeliner is not an exception (regardless of how much I love the brand!). I got it in the color “Perversion”, described as the blackest black, like, ever.

For one: it’s TOTALLY not worth the hype! It’s creamy, sure, but it hardly stayed put on the eye and wasn’t as black as I expected. I’ve never had oily lids, but this eyeliner smeared all around my crease and even on my brow bone, making me look just like a panda.

I got it in the December ipsy glambag a while back, but it wasn’t really working out for me. There’s even some drugstore eyeliners I prefer better than this!!

(If you guys know any really good eyeliners, by the way, let me know in the comments! I’m always open to new products.)

But, anyways, back on topic. This wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t worth the price.

My TOP FIVE Makeup Must-Haves

Hello starlets, makeup mavens, and fashionistas everywhere!

I thought I’d share some popular “makeup must-haves” for everyone starting, or building up, a makeup collection! These are popular, all-around good products that I personally really, really, really, really, really, really, really, LOOOOOOOVE WITH ALL MY HEART, but I only picked five (so this post wouldn’t take two days to read).

(But of course I don’t love these products as much as you, that’s ridiculous.)

P.S: Remember these are just opinions :} Enjoooooooooy!

Okay, #1:

Urban Decay Eyeshadow

urban-decay-sephora-eyeshadows-2These are the most buttery, delectably-textured eyeshadows I have EVER used, and I swear by them. If you’re looking for a great color-selection, Urban Decay is the way to go. They have great nudes, brights, mediums, darks, and high-lights. Most of their eyeshadows are very multipurpose colors, so you can use them in more places than JUST your eyes. These are amazing.

#2:

Buxom Lip Gloss

Buxom-Time-To-Shine-1 In my opinion, everyone needs at least ONE of these delectable glosses. They slightly plump, (not sting!), and have a refreshing, sweet mint scent and taste. They make my lips look really juicy, plump, and healthy. I have only a couple of these, and because of the price, they feel like quite a luxury to use. The doe-foot applicator applies product evenly to the lips, and it’s really moisturizing without being slick. If you prefer a long-wearing gloss, these are for you. They have a slight tackiness, and hardly budge!

#3:

Benefit Boxed Blushes

 tumblr_m1dybjyWAB1qgqgyxo1_500

I know there’s some people that say NARS is the way to  go, but these are the same price, and they have different shades that I find to suit me more. I love Benefit; their brand is just so full of personality! Their blushes come in a lot of gorgeous colors, so there’s always something that works for you. My favorite has to be “Sugarbomb” or “Bella Bamba.”! They give your cheeks a nice, flushed glow.

#4:

MAC Lipstick

mac-lipsticks I’m not a complete MAC-junkie, but I do really think their lipsticks are something special. They come in so many great colors and finishes, with a light vanilla scent that smells like sugar-cookies or some kind of candy. Plus, they really stay on, and last forever and ever!! (I recommend the Cremesheens, Satin, or Lustre.)

#5:

Anastasia Brow Wiz

rby-fall-makeover-Anastasia-Beverly-Hills-Brow-Wiz-Sara-please-note-the-full-name-de

I feel like a lot of people forget how important it is to fill in your brows! It can really make a statement by framing your eyes, which, in my opinion, is really super duper important if you want them to stand out! This is a creamy, retractable pencil with a spoolie on the end to blend out the product and groom your brows. Anastasia makes wonderful eyebrow products, but this has to be my favorite of hers.

Anyways, lovelies, thanks for reading. These are all products I really, genuinely enjoy, and if you try them, or have tried them, tell me how it worked out! I’d love to hear about it.

UD Fun Palette: Bite-Sized Review

Hehe hey my cutiepies!

This is a palette I purchased recently, that has to be my go-to!

Here…let me explain why….

Image

The URBAN DECAY FUN PALETTE. A festive rainbow of buttery seductiveness! Gorgeous shades for all eye colors!! AUGHHHHH CAN IT BE TRUE? DO MY EYES DECEIVE ME?

For one: The colors are sooooo buttery and light, it’s not like you’re wearing eyeshadow at all! For two: The colors are very pigmented, fun and playful. (I especially love Fishnet for my brown eyes!!) For three: They all go together so beautifully! And PLUS: The packaging is to DIE FOR.

This has to be the most beautiful UD palette I’ve ever seen!! (Besides Naked, of course.)

Nothing says “ooh la-la” more than a flatteringly smudged, rock-star eye, with depth and light in all the right place, fringy lashes, and a full, pouty lip.

You should totally check this out, it’s a steal! Six UD eyeshadows (18 bucks each) for 36 DOLLAS? Hell to the yeah!

Anyways, have a fun, colorful day! Talk to you soon.

Sweet Purple Smoke

Hi starlets and makeup mavens!

This is a look I wore yesterday, and it has to be one of my favorite ones I have ever done. ImageImageImage

The products I used on my eyes were the Urban Decay shadows in “Fishnet” and “Freakshow”, with Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara on my lashes. Fishnet is a light, buttery almost iridescent lilac, and Freakshow’s a purple matte color that I layered on my crease to give it that slightly smoky effect.

On my skin I’m wearing Dr. Jart SPF 45 PA+++ BB Cream, with Clinique Stay Matte pressed powder on top. :}

And, last but not least, on my lips I’m wearing MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Hot Gossip!

Just wanted to show ya what I wore, and wondered your thoughts! I named this look “Sweet Purple Smoke” because it’s like a sweet, subtle, slightly smoky eye that looks sort of sultry, but also whimsical and fun at the same time.

P.S: SORRY IF I’VE BEEN OVER-LOADING YOUR FEED WITH POSTS. I don’t have any homework today so that equals more blogging time! :}
