Good evening, Curly-Fries out there in blogger-land!
I have returned with the results of my haul!! And let me tell you, I think I may have went a bit over the top, but I live quite far away from the nearest Macy’s and J.C Penny. Soo..that makes it all kind of okay, right??
In total, I got one palette, one bronzer/blush duo, one straightening/curling iron, four lipsticks, four eyeshadows, a face powder, and a……brush cleaner. *womp womp wooommmmp*
First let’s start off at the MAC counter (one of my favesss!).
Enjoy the goodies :3
First off is lipstick in Lady Danger:
And isn’t it STUNNING? The color just pops on my skin. It’s the perfect, matte, popsicle-red, that has just the right amount of orange. Texture-wise, I think it’s pretty great and nearly effortless to apply. Though matte isn’t my favorite finish, it has extreme staying-power that really stays on your lips.
Honestly, when I first saw it, I thought trying it on would be just like that one time I tried on Viva Glam Nicki. “Ohh gahhd no get this off of my lips. I look like a Muppet.”
If you’re looking for a dangerous, fun, pin-up girl shade, check this one out! You won’t regret it.
Next I picked out Girl About Town:
This is a gorgeous shade of fuschia.
It’s a super-creamy, opaque, saturated pink with a purple undertone. No sparkle, no shimmer, just a light glossy look that makes your lips look really juicy. Perfect for summer. It’s so yummy and daring…a color that would look good with ANY bikini.
And who could go wrong with the classic Creme Cup?
It’s gorgeous, it’s delectable, and it’s creamy. The color is a sweet, milky pink that doesn’t wash you out, or look too boring, so in my words it’s a beautiful nude. An exceptional everyday shade! A MAC MASTERPIECE.
Next from MAC, I got two eyeshadows in “Naked Lunch” and “Satin Taupe”, two best-sellers.
Over all, these eyeshadows are very easy to blend and last a long time.
Naked Lunch is a very soft, shimmery peach-beige, and Satin Taupe, is, well, a satin taupe. This is my first time using MAC eyeshadows, and I think they’re pretty good. (Requires further study.)
And finally from MAC, the Studio Fix + Powder Foundation.
I honestly haven’t used this on my own yet. When they applied it on me in the store, I was in love. In total, dubious, wonderful love. It made my face look so soft and flawless, like I had velvet model skin. I walked out of the store looking like a million bucks.
With a new eye look, wicked lipstick, and my face blotted to perfection, I went straight to Chanel.
From Chanel, I only got one, precious item. A lipstick.
I ADMIT, I am a lip girl. And the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in “Rendez-Vous” was just beautiful to me.
IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH 30 BUCKS. OMG. It’s sooooo, so, so creamy, it makes the MAC lipsticks feel thick.
The color I picked is a beautiful rose with the right amount of shine. I really feel like I got my money’s worth, because I’ve never tried a lipstick that’s so luxurious!!
From Bare Minerals, I purchased two lovely, shimmery eyeshadows in “Heart” and “In The Buff”.
No photo could capture the complexity in each of these colors. Both of them are really shimmery, rich colors, and when swatched are nearly iridescent. The mineral colors are so pigmented, I have to get more in the future!
Pretty soon, I decided to surf over to Sephora, when all of a sudden, I was stopped by a woman at a mall kiosk.
“Hey girl. Come over here! Oh, noo don’t worry, it will only take a second.”
Well. It took about half an hour, and I ended up with a very fancy, European, ceramic-plated, steam hair iron/curler. The Bellezza Lumino, in the newest color, blue snakeskin.
And I do not do ANYTHING with my hair, unless a ponytail counts. But when I saw how naturally glossy my hair looked after she straightened it, I almost cried. The steam brings out all the natural oil in your hair, and it looks just like in a shampoo commercial!
It has a life-time warranty, and there’s no damage. Loveee<333!
But after I finally escaped her grasp, and headed to Sephora, coming away with NARS and Two-Faced goodies!!
From Two-Faced, I got the Boudoir Palette. It’s sooo sexy, soft, and elegant..I adore the shades.
They’re all pretty muted, nothing too crazy and acidic, but have a special quality to each of them. The possibilities are endless.
PLUS, they come with a card of different looks to try!!
My favorite shades are “Voulez-vous”, “Lap Dance”, “Fuzzy Handcuffs”, and “French Tickler”.
The names make me giggle.
Next, I bought my first ever blush from NARS. It was a small duo of the famous “Orgasm” and “Laguna”. I wore it today, and Orgasm is sooo STUNNING!!
The pigment was so silky and buttery, utter perfection. I totally understand the hype.
Anyway..that’s it for my haul.
If you would like me to review any of these products, please leave a request in the comments. :}
I’m due for dinner with the fam.
Have a wonderful evening!!
