Versatile Blogger Award!

Haii beautifuls.

I’m really, super-duper happy to be nominated for this award!!!! Like seriously. It made my day.

Maria Vole at Beauty On a Budget  was the one who tagged me, (along with a few other gorgeous peeps ;} ). Maria is SUCH a sweetheart, and I’m really happy she felt that I should deserve this award. It’s a nice feeling to know that people read your blog.

The whole purpose of this award is to get to know other bloggers, and it’s really fun to see what other people say!

NOW FOR 7 INTERESTING THINGS:

  1. Because I’m Alutiiq, or Aleut, a type of native Alaskan, my great-grandmother gives everyone a native name when they’re born. Mine is Saangapaluq, which means swallow-bird, one of my favorite animals!
  2. I don’t have a religion. Seriously. For a while I though I was Buddhist-Hindu, but now I’m completely unsure what I am.
  3. Right now I am in loooove with Lana Del Rey and her music. It’s so sultry and I adore the lyrics: “My old man is a tough man, but, he’s got a soul as sweet as blood red jam, and he shows me, he knows me, every inch of my tar black soul.”
  4. I honestly wish I was brave enough to wear cool eyeshadow and eyeliner like some girls…you know, totally crazy, glam, sparkly and eye-catching. But, face it, darlings. I’m a lip-girl at heart. But I’m trying to break out of my comfort zone!!!
  5. My girl-crush is a tie between Emma Watson and Anne Hathaway. I love both of their classic, effortless styles, and all the roles they’ve played! If either one of them asked me to marry them, I’d totally say yes. HOW COULD YOU NOT???
  6. I make friends really easily, and am very trusting. If you break that trust, I make a wall though. Not just any wall, but a wall made out of bricks, titanium, and Nokia phones, so you’re gonna have to work to break it down.
  7. Blogging is one of my biggest joys. I’m so thankful for meeting everyone I’ve met, you don’t even know!

Thank you SO much, guys!

Now, if you excuse me, I’m going to go on a short jog. ;} Ta ta!

Daily “Hey”

Hey friends!

Was it just me, or did today seem especially amazing? Where I live, it’s bright and breezy, perfect dress weather! The guy I like even said hi to me. I hope it wasn’t obvious how much I blushed!

Now it’s almost bedtime. Do you guys have any suggestions for some posts to do next? I’M OPEN TO ALL OPINIONS!

P.S: I tried to keep this short for your guys’s sake. I’m not sure if these smaller, more personal posts seem annoying to you or not! ;}

And here’s a picture of Totoro! How cute, huh?

MEAN GIRLS

Hey my precious, charming, beautiful followers and readers!

I’m not sure how old you are, or if you remember middle school, but, girls are mean. Not all girls, but some girls just generally seem to hate the entire female middle-schooler population. These are the ones that always post on their Facebook saying that it’s “Okay to be yourself”, and “Stand out”, or “Be courageous”, and yet they always push everyone down for being different.

Well, IT IS okay to be yourself.  There always will be girls that may say mean things about you, or try to make things harder, but they don’t really matter. They all have their own reasons for doing it, but they’re the ones that are really having the insecurities.

Or it may be jealousy. You might have something they want, curves, a brain, a nice boyfriend, friends that care about you, you get the idea. Or, you may simply just be being yourself, and they don’t have the courage to do that.

Here’s my message to YOU!

Don’t let the BS of today make you feel like you’re not worth something.

It may not be mean girls, but whatever it is, try to put it behind you. You’re beautiful, and it’s not worth it.

And sorry if this post was a bit of an awkward one. I just had to get it out of my system!! I had a bad day at school today…like I said, girls can be meanie heads.

Hair and Winter Formals

Hello my little cream-puffs!

Okay, I’ll be honest with you, my hair is totally-not picture perfect. It’s a giant, multi-hued, ombre-frizzball of SADNESS. I don’t straighten it, or spray it, or curl it, it’s just naturally wavy-curly-frizzy, a combination I like to call “wacuizzy” (wack-oo-iz-ee.) the most horrendous hair type I know of.

Image

Most of the girls at my school straighten their hair, so it’s all glossy and swishy and long, and they can actually DO STUFF with it!

I going to winter formal this month (the 19th, just 10 DAYS away!) and have NO IDEA what to do with my wacuizzy hair. I bought a dress at this place called “The Annex”. Image

It’s expresso-colored with multi-hued sequins dotted here and there, with a swishy skirt that’s fun to dance and twirl in!

AND, it’s a high-school formal, (and I’m only in 8th grade!), so I’ll be surrounded by people who are much older than me, which kind of freaks me out. My date totally kicked me to the curb, so I’m going with a few friends instead. I mean, come on, a beautiful dress and nowhere to go in it? What a waste!

Do you think my dress is okay? I have no idea what color to paint my nails, or what jewelry to wear, and my hair is still a complete mess…..and, oh jeez I’m rambling. Anyway, I hope you, (my small group of followers), have wonderful days and I’ll talk to you guys soon!

P.S Sorry if this was a little short. I should probably go start my homework..(I haven’t even cracked open my back-pack yet!).

Today

Hello my sunshines!!

I’m Isabella, and I thought I might want to tell you a bit about myself before I begin my blog. So…I guess you could call this my “formal intro”. Cue the theme music!!! ….Hah, just kidding…I’m not THAT important :}

Anyway, today was totally bleak. It was rainy, gray, and cold, a day for leggings and tights which I stubbornly refuse to wear. I hate tights. They just make me feel so trapped and bundled-up, and I don’t like that at all. I’m not saying I dress skimpy or anything, but tights and me just don’t mix well.

I wore this today: Image

A lot of it was old clothes, dazzled up by new layers I got over Christmas. Of course, it did get some bitchy comments at school, but hey, whatevs.

As Lady Gaga says “I was born this waaaaaaay!”
