The Date (Summarized!)

ELLO MY DARLINGS.

So I went on my very first date yesterday, and many of you wanted to know how it went!

FIRST OFF: It was the opposite of awkward. I have never felt more comfortable and happy in my life; it just felt so good to be around the guy. He was so easy to talk to, and we talked about everything!

We went to this sushi place that was really good, and we split the check. Then, we walked together downtown for gelato and took bites out of each others. After THAT, we still had time, so we walked around town talking about this-and-that. THEN, we went down to the park and sat on a bench, looked through each other’s phones at our music, but pretty soon he had to leave. We hugged. ❤ tumblr_m24gqtAGq61qh0b3v

I don’t think that date could’ve been any better..he even texted me after telling me how much fun he had.

I hope you guys aren’t getting tired of all these posts…don’t worry..I’ll have some about beauty/fashion pretty soon!

GOING ON A DATE!!!

Hey guys! I’M BACK!! ❤

..AAnd going on a date. Tonight. At 6.

Gahhhd!!!!!!!!

Seriously..this is the first real date I’ve ever been on. I’m going to dinner with a guy I really like and I’m so so so nervous I could die and I don’t know what to talk about or how to act and I’m nervous I’ll make a fool of myself and now I’m just rambling.!!!!

Omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg. I can hardly type as fast as I’m talking. It’s just such an awesome, scary moment.

MY TOP FIVE WORRIES:

  1. I’ll forget how to use social skills and just sit there.
  2. I’ll create unnecessary awkward silences.
  3. I’ll say something stupid.
  4. I’ll not know WHAT to say.
  5. I’ll mess up everything.

We’re going out to eat delicious sushi, which I am quite excited for.

Still….I’M SO NERVOUS I FEEL LIKE I’M GONNA DIE.

Wish me luck? I missed you guys!

Summer Beauty 411

Okay, ya’ll ladies probably have a slight idea of what summer beauty’s all about.

No more dark lipstick, cream makeup, bundled-up fashion, or anything of that sort is allowed! :}

Seriously! In the summer, it’s all about color, color, color. Your goal is to not try to look like a super-skinny, pale waif, your goal is to look like you! ❤  jehane_paris_delias_swimsuit_0013_yYBotav.sized

In the summertime, I like to have the lightest possible makeup routine. Some mineral powder, lip gloss, and mascara is really all you need.

Who wants to look plastered by the poolside? NOT you, girly.

HERE’S SOME PRODUCTS I LOVE FOR THE WARM WEATHER:

First, I chose Flirt PLUSHIOUS Liquid Velvet Lip Color in “Flirt Alert”. It’s a perfect summer color, like fruit punch!flirtlips

PLUS, it’s glossy and fun and makes your lips look so juicy!

And then, of course, you may ask about foundation. Hun, here’s a rule: NO CREAMS, only light liquids and powders. matte-mineral-makeup

My summer foundation is Bare Minerals Matte. I love the stuff! If you want a healthy, flawless glow, check this stuff out.

And that’s all for today, folks! See you all soon!

Mission G.N.O!

G.N.O: (Noun.) Definition: “Girls Night Out”, a gender-exclusive activity where women meet to engage in social activities.

Initiative: Have a good time.

So my girlfriends and I went out on the town to a oh-so-fabulous masquerade ball to celebrate Earth Day! I felt like I should share some pictures because our costumes were AUUHMAYZING.

My friend Kaylie went as an “Aristocat”.

My other friend, Katie, went as a penguin!

And I went as a Phoenix!

The ball was FAAABULOUS. There was music, dancing, disco lights, and a cute boy who we called “Mr. Hot Sweatshirt Guy” (but we didn’t have the guts to talk to him!)

Anyways, the food sucked, but throughout the night we felt unexplainably glamorous. My friend Kaylie and I brushed glitter on our collarbones, chest, and back, so that when we danced our skin sparkled like diamonds.

(Because we danced so much, I wore Converse under my dress and not heels. Shhhh!)

We left at 11pm and went home to eat chips, gossip, rip off our uncomfortable dresses, scrub the makeup from our faces, and  remove all of our clunky jewelry.

It was an amazing night.

Talk to you later, darlings!

Five Weekly Faves!

Hey Curly-Fries ❤ (Can I call you guys that?)

This week I had a lot of interesting favorites that I thought I could show-and-tell. I rarely ever do favorites, but here y’all go!

Favorite #5: Natural Scents Candle in “Vanilla Latte”

Image

This candle smells reallllly great, sort of like a creamy vanilla candy, with no coffee-reminescent smell to be detected. Natural Scents has THE BEST candles, and their selection of scents is astounding. They have everything from Sugar Cookie to Eggnog to Birthday Cake to Watermelon to Bubblegum to Raspberry Truffle to Ylang Ylang and everything in between.

The best part is the glass square it comes in is made out of recycled materials! Score!

You can get them here. :}

Favorite #4: Lace Socks

Image

Who doesn’t love some feminine lace socks? I love the little button accents and the lace on the hem! They were made by Grace and Lace Company on Etsy, who makes a lot of girly socks, leg-warmers, and the like. This particular style also came in mint..one of my fave colors!! Image

Weekly Favorite #3: Zoi Greek Yogurt in “Raspberry Cream” Flavor Image

In my opinion, Zoi makes the best greek yogurt in stores. I’ve tried all types from all brands, but this is my favorite. It’s got a solid, creamy-white upper layer, then a soft bed of fruit in the bottom. I like how it’s not gooey and chunky like other brands; it’s more like you’re eating a cheesecake than anything else. And it’s healthy!

Weekly Favorite #2: The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

Image

Not gonna lie..I’ve used up at least ten of these in my 13-year-old-life. But I just got a new one this week, and supposed that I’d better add it to the list!

First off, the scent is soft. It doesn’t bombard you, it BECKONS you with coconutty goodness. And it moisturizes your skin like no other, actually repairing it with each use. I love coconut scents, but if they’re not your thing, The Body Shop has many other options!

Weekly Favorite #1: MAC Lipstick in “Syrup”

Image

I recently got this in the mail with a bunch of other MAC lipsticks, but this is one of my most favorite. It’s described as a “cloudy pink” on the MAC website, but in reality it’s more of a creamy mauve.

I love it. It’s a great everyday shade, and I’ve been wearing the heck out of it.

Anyway..that’s all for today!

I’m really tired, so I’m going to crawl in bed and take a leisurely sleep.

‘Nighty night starlets. ❤

How-To: Highlighting/Bronzing

Highlighting or, urm, “luminizing” is a trick that not everyone needs to know. Giving that extra glow is sometimes unnecessary, but who says it can’t be a useful trick to learn?

Image

Above is a basic highlighting/bronzing chart. Both of these products are all about building up intensity, you should NEVER, EVER just dust some all over and call it good. Take caution!

BRONZER 411

With bronzer, you shouldn’t be creating bones that aren’t there, you should just be enhancing what you naturally have. Plus, you should pick a color that complements your skin tone! If you’re pale, go for pinkier or peachier bronzers, stray from anything orangey (you’ll look all ruddy and gross.) If you’re darker, go for more cinnamon or golden tones!

Same goes for highlighter. Warm skin= warm, golden highlighter. Cool skin= pink highlighter. Neutral skin= your pick. Image

The most important thing with these two products is to find a formula that you like. Powders are the most popular, but they have creams, liquids, you name it!

No matter what formula, start with small patting or brushing motions, continuously building up the product until it looks good!

Hope I helped some! ^_^

Talk to you lovely people soon!
